Five Love Languages: How to Express Heartfelt Commitment to Your Mate

This works for anyone towards anyone.  We all feel loved when others do for us, however sometimes we feel more loved than sometimes more than others.  Could it be because at a particular time the deed spoke to our love language?  It is worth discivering what our love language is and of those who we are in contact with.  It may give us rewarding relationship.

The Masculine Journey

Hicks says that In the Bible the Hebrew language there are six words for man.  This proves that to God, while being born a penis makes you a male, it does not necesarilly make you a man.  It does however says that in Christ we can all become masculine men.  But not all of us do.  We get stuck in one of the stages toward full masculinity, and become homosexuals, womanizers, aggressors (Even murderers), wining wimps, or selfish jerks.  In Christ, we can become sages like the prophets of old.  In God all things are possible.

Four Pillars of a Man's Heart

A true Man has it together.  He is a balanced individual.  He communicates, he connects, he listens, he protects, he provides.  He does not wine, blame others, quit, retreat, or think of himself only.  Stu Weber provides a model that can show us a true Man is in Jesus.

Robert continues to relate his story while weaving the teachings he learned from his Rich Dad.  Rich Dad's Guide to Investing covers the basic rules of investing, including how to reduce investment risk and how to convert earned income into passive and portfolio income.

Rich Dad's Cashflow Quadrant: Rich Dad's Guide to Financial Freedom

@ Rich Dad's Site
The story continues and with it the lessons about how the wealthy think and do things.  Everyone positions themselves in the cash flow quadrant.  Where they position themselves determines how much money they will make and who will control their life.  On the left side every one controls you: the law, the government, the bank, etc.  Nnot only you cannot win, you always lose.  On the right side, the laws protect you, the government favors you, banks just give you money, etc.  It is your choice.  (It reveals why some people work less and earn more, pay less taxes, and feel more financially secure than others.)

The Flagship book for the Robert Kiyosaki series.  With this starts to tell the story of his life and the life of his two mentors: His Poor Dad (his real dad) and his Rich Dad (his best friends dad.) How they both influnced them about life and money.  How he had to choose what he learned from them.  Robert uncovers in this book how the wealthy think and do things, which is very diferrent from what the poor and middle class do.  To me the important points are that: 1. we need to understand the difference between a income stament and balance sheet; 2. We need to understand the difference between income and expense; 3.  we need to understand the difference between assett and liability;  4.  We need to understand how the terms are all related;  5. We ourselves have balance sheets and financial statements.

Ok. So, may the real millionaire please stand up?  This book identifies who the average millionaire is in America.  It is not who you thinks it is.  In fact, it just could be your next door neighbor or the guy that owns that business down your block.  Don't believe the hype, should be the motto of this book.

Dr. Stanley finds out who they are, now he finds out how they think.  How do they choose their mates, line of business, homes, etc...It is all here.  You may have more of a millionaire then you think, you may need just s few weeks, here and there.  What Dr. Stanley discovers is very simialr to what Kiyosaki teaches.

Besides the Bible, the best book ever written about Jesus Christ.

Stop getting hurt and getting others hurt.  Use your time, energy and gifts building the Kingdom of Grace.  Let God find that wonderful partner for you.  I've yet to see anyone who waits on Him disappointed.

A Historical Survey of Seventh Day Adventist Thought on the Human Nature of Christ.  Did Christ come with the nature of Adam before or after the fall?  This is not a trivial issue.  How you answer that question will determine your eternal destiny.  This book will show you why that is.

I was told I must work on this book.  (I have not read it, yet.)  It comes highly recommended by people very close to me, whose judgement I trust.  When I do - no pun intended - I will blog about it.  If you work on this book before I do, e-mail me about it.

The Bible speaks of two covenants.  Many think they are the same expresed in different  words.  Waggoner shows they are actually two different Covenants.  One is based on Self Righteousness and Salvation by Works leading to Eternal Death.  The second one is based on Christ's Righteousness and Savaltion by Grace through Faith leading to Eternal Life; hence, the title of the book.

In conversation with my sister about unethical practices this book came to mind.  Maxwell says that you either are or are not ethical.  Your can either be trusted or you cannot.  Those who cheat on their taxes can cheat on their wives.  Those who cheat their employees out of their pension do not need business ethics.   They need ehtics, period.

This book start me on a process of reorienting my life to what is important and matters most.  It also gave me the tools to embark in that journey.  I highly recomend it.
